Welcome! We are going to be looking at the rules and the syllabus, creating shelf labels, and starting to working on mixing tints, shades, secondary colors, and tertiary colors.

Syllabus
In Painting 1 and 2, we will learn about many types of painting techniques and will learn to use watercolor, acrylic, ink, water soluble oil pastels, tempera, and tempera cakes. We will learn about tinting and shading as well as blending/ color mixing, and will learn about various artists and their differing styles. We will learn everything from Aboriginal Dot painting to lino-block printmaking. Late work will only be accepted up to one day after it is due. Work turned in the day after it is due will receive a 20 percent deduction. Work will NOT be accepted two or more days late! If you are absent, it is YOUR responsibility to get and make up any missing work! |

We will be completing our famous painting reproductions! We will also be helping set up and tear down the Art Show!

We will be finishing our color mixing projects and starting to paint partner projects for the art show/ prom!

We are going to be finishing painting our fruit still life water colors and will be weaving them together! We will also start planning for our tints and shades color mixing project toward the end of the week!
